Laura Weldy

GA Lic# MT007017

Laura Weldy, LMT LPN, is a native and resident of Saint Simons Island. After thirty years of private practice, she joined Massage Guru in July 2021. She began her career by training with Jackie Morris and was certified in 1992 in the Digits/Ingham methods of reflexology. In 2010 she obtained her license in massage therapy from Keiser Career College, specializing in neuromuscular therapy. She later earned her certification in Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) at the Upledger Institute. In 2016 she attained her practical nursing license from Coastal Pines Technical College. Additionally, she is certified in Oncology and Palliative Massage as well as in Trauma Informed Massage.

Her goal as a LMT is to provide relief through CST, Reflexology and Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Neuromuscular Massage. The most frequent complaints include chronic pain, plantar fasciitis, neck tension, migraines, and recurring stress. Her medical training allows Laura to teach and care for her clients beyond conventional massage therapy. Her objective is to offer her clients sustainable pain relief, increased range of motion, decreased stress, and restore the body’s natural balance.

Fun Fact: Laura enjoys watching the dolphins from her kayak and meditating on her serenity porch.

Emily Strickland

GA Lic# MT001926

Hello there, it’s so good to see you here! My name is Emily E. Strickland. I invite you to relax in your favorite chair or favorite place as you read my bio. I graduated from Augusta School of Massage in 2004. When I graduated, I was pregnant with my first child that is 17 years old now. Time flies when you are passionate about your career. I have also been happily married for 23 years with two handsome sons. I am a National Board Certified Therapist (#426265-00) that has a Professional Massage License (#MT001926). I also would like to share a few things I love to use when I am massaging. I use Biotone massage cream, beautiful soothing music, and tender care for each person I massage. When I am massaging, I love to work on people’s feet, hands and faces. I put 100% of myself into my massages to help my clients feel better and heal. Here is a fun fact about myself, both of my thumbs are double-jointed. I hope you have enjoyed my bio and have a positive and uplifting day!

Rachel M. Eunice, LMT, OBT

Owner/Operator, Massage Guru

Before I began my massage training in Atlanta in 1999 at Capelli Learning Center, I spent five years searching for a career that resonated with who I was and who I aspired to be. My decision to be a Massage Therapist gave me the freedom to be myself - unlike my appointment to the US Air Force Academy and the ROTC scholarships that I received in high school that asked me to take an oath not to be true to me.

Guiding clients into deep relaxation as well as relief from stress and aches is a constant reminder of the need for self love. Living and massaging in Colorado, Florida, Maine, Michigan, and North Carolina has giving me a background of adaptability and understanding of all walks of life. After owning several private practices, on and off, over the years here on St. Simons, I feel that Massage Guru has now become the pearl in the oyster. Founded in 2011. At our current location since 2017.

Fun fact: I am not afraid to climb ladders of all heights! Lol
