Welcome to my bio! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’ve been practicing massage for 23 years now. I graduated from Heritage Institute in Jacksonville, Florida in 2002. Massage is the foundation of my life! I can’t imagine not having this connection with people. I find massage to be very spiritual and rewarding. My consuming passion is passing all my spiritual energy to people that I encounter. In 2007, I became a Reiki Master. Included in my specialities are, Visceral Massage, Cupping, GuaSha (also called Graston), Hot Stones, Percussion, and Pre-Natal massage.
After my lifelong travels I have settled in Georgia. I live in an 1880 Victorian home in Brunswick that suits my personality to a tee. It has so much charm and great karma! My family lives close by so I try to spend as much time with them as I can.
Book your session with Massage Guru and share the experience, knowledge, and love I have for my craft.
Fun fact; I lived in Greece from 1979 to 1984.

Laura is a native and resident of Saint Simons Island. After thirty years of private practice, she joined Massage Guru in July 2021. She began her career by training with Jackie Morris and was certified in 1992 in the Digits/Ingham methods of reflexology. In 2010 she obtained her license in massage therapy from Keiser Career College, specializing in neuromuscular therapy. She later earned her certification in Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) at the Upledger Institute. Additionally, she is certified in Oncology and Palliative Massage as well as in Trauma Informed Massage. In 2016 she attained her practical nursing degree/license and in 2024 she earned her RN degree/license both from Coastal Pines Technical College.
Her goal as a LMT is to provide relief through CST, Reflexology and Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Neuromuscular Massage. The most frequent complaints include chronic pain, plantar fasciitis, neck tension, migraines, and recurring stress. Her medical training allows Laura to teach and care for her clients beyond conventional massage therapy. Her objective is to offer her clients sustainable pain relief, increased range of motion, decreased stress, and restore the body’s natural balance.
Fun Fact: Laura enjoys watching the dolphins from her kayak and meditating on her serenity porch.

I invite you to relax in your favorite chair or favorite place as you read my bio. I graduated from Augusta School of Massage in 2004. When I graduated, I was pregnant with my first child that is 18 years old now. Time flies when you are passionate about your career. I have also been happily married for 25 years with two handsome sons. I am a National Board Certified Therapist (#426265-00) that has a Professional Massage License (#MT001926). I also would like to share a few things I love to use when I am massaging. I use Biotone massage cream, beautiful soothing music, and tender care for each person I massage. When I am massaging, I love to work on people’s feet, hands and faces. I put 100% of myself into my massages to help my clients feel better and heal. Here is a fun fact about myself, both of my thumbs are double-jointed. I hope you have enjoyed my bio and have a positive and uplifting day!

One of my favorite clients recently told me that my massage flows like a good record album – it tells a story and has a perfect beginning, middle, and ending on both sides. As a music lover, that really meant a lot to me.
After working for many years as a chef in several different facets of the culinary industry, I found my second calling as a Massage Therapist. Wellness and healthy eating became my focus as a chef, so I feel right at home in this aspect of the wellness industry.
As a Brunswick transplant, one of the things that keeps me here is the incredible, unique nature of this area. I can’t get enough of the salt marsh, the birds, and the maritime forests. I feel so fortunate that I get to drive over that beautiful causeway only to end up at the serene Massage Guru office to work with our amazing clients on their journey of holistic health.
Fun fact – My favorite thing to do is snorkel in crystal clear water. There’s something about the silence of being underwater that really makes it the ultimate tranquil experience…

Having intellectual leanings towards alternatives (and maybe being an Aquarius) I found myself intrigued by different approaches to life, and drawn to the unusual. This openness led me to a career in massage therapy (beginning in 1999). Helping others on their wellness journey encouraged my own efforts to receive regular body work, eat healthy food, and develop a faithful yoga practice. I have reset muscle memories, reshaping my personal story... that story continues to unfold!
We are here to assist you in shaping, reshaping and unfolding Your own story through our work together.
Fun Fact: I hiked the Precipice in Acadia National Park.
